Advanced Communication 

Pre College - College Students

Acquire public speaking techniques to motivate the audience.

 

This course is targeted to students that are about to enter college or are already there. The objective is to empower communication skills to deliver powerful messages that engage and motivate any audience.

 

We start with the basics of communication like body language and gestures, then we jump to presentation techniques like image family, slide deck and perception.

 

This is a hands-on course that requires students to apply each topic to presentations they will be delivering for the duration of the course.

It is required for participants to have internet access and a laptop or desktop computer to work on the assignments.

Academic Boosters

Adventures in Reading (Upper Elementary)

Monday and Wednesday 4:00pm -5:00pm

Campers will spend the summer on a reading adventure. Each week, a new theme is introduced and campers will boost their reading skills and increase their confidence while focusing on fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. 

 

ACT/SAT Summer Prep (High School Students Only)

Tuesdays & Thursdays 10am - 12pm

Emphasis will be on reaching your unique score goal by learning the hidden rules of the SAT/ACT games in the quickest possible time. Instructor has helped 42 students to gain perfect scores and hundreds of “average” students to achieve scores in the 95th percentile.

ACT Weekend Workshop (High School Students Only) 

Saturday July 10th & Sunday July 11th 11 AM- 5 PM

Raise your ACT scores significantly for next Saturday’s test in just one intense weekend of learning traps, tricks, and training!

Conversational Spanish (3rd -12th Grade)

Mondays and Wednesdays 1pm - 2pm (Elementary)

Build a Project- Anatomy (Elementary/Middle Grades)

Tuesday and Thursday 10:00-11:00 am

Join us as we complete a project-based learning Anatomy and Nutrition Project. We will journey through learning about different body organs and how nutrition affects the human body. The project includes a series of activities and research so students can learn all about anatomy and nutrition. For the final project, students will create a life-size body flap, with the organs and their research. Templates and projects are included. This is a hands-on and engaging project all while students learn the information.

Baking with Chef Tatiana (All Ages)

Tuesday and Thursday 11:00 - 12:30pm

A unique course combining the art of pastry with entrepreneurship

Yo Re Mi- Yoga- (PreK- Lower Elementary) 

Tuesday/Thursday 11-12:00pm

Yo Re Mi combines music, yoga and mindfulness into an engaging adventure that enhances learning, encourages creativity and imagination, and promotes whole-child wellness.

African Dance- (All Ages)

Tuesday/Wednesday 7pm - 8pm

Movement, especially in the form of dance, helps to release stagnation throughout the body, mind and spirit. Join Madea Allen for a 6 week dance workshop of Soul freedom movement through African and African Diasporic Dance. Each class features body awareness and centering exercises, a thorough warm up, technique and funky choreography.
